Brisbane Internet Marketing Workshop
I’m running and speaking at an Internet Marketing Workshop in Brisbane next week on March 10-12 at Tattersalls Club, Queen Street Mall.
I have lots of people asking me about how I get so much exposure online and where they can find out more about how to use the Internet for their business. If you are interested in getting more exposure online and want to know how to really get more leads and sales, then you really should come to this content rich 3-day workshop.
I will be speaking on Day 1 about technology and what options businesses have and what to consider. I’ll also be talking about automation using technology and how you can really leverage on it to save time and money.
Other speakers include:
Gail Geronimos (Achaeus)- Gail will be showing each step of the process in detail about how to get leads and convert them to sales
Andrew and Daryl Grant – Successful Internet Marketers who will be sharing what goes on behind their business.

I’m running an Internet Marketing workshop for you!
Last week I released details of an Internet Marketing workshop we’re running for companies in Australia. As a proactive networker in various different industries, I have lots of people approaching me about what I and the one thing that gets people interested is my work in Internet Marketing.Usually I have people ask me one of responses:
- Is that like Google and stuff?
- So you do spam and porn?
This says to me 2 things. That people that I know think that the only successful people on the Internet are Google, Spammers and Porn Sites. And, that it is VERY apparent that business people in general just don’t know what Internet Marketing actually is, and definitely have no idea on how powerful it is for just normal SME’s in Australia.
I’ve worked with organisations in various sectors with Internet Marketing, and I’ve seen first hand how the web can make a big impact.
I have lots of people asking me “Can you do a website for us” or “Can you get me to number 1 on Google”. Unfortunately I don’t have time to be helping everyone out individually. With the demand for my photography and video work, web sites unfortunately are a lower priority as I’m having trouble keeping up with my own web operations.
Gail and I are running a Internet Marketing Workshop on April 3 &4, 2008 at Bardon Conference Centre. I’ve helped designed this workshop for all the people out there that I know that want to get more impacting results from their website and Internet Marketing strategies.
If you’re interested in coming along to the workshop, click here and use the code “ACHSPECIAL” (no quotes) in the order form and get access to the special offer we are only offering our best clients.
I will be sharing the stage with some of Austalia’s most successful Internet Marketers. My talk will be about using technology to drive and automate online commerce and list relationships.

Brisbane Ekka & Coffee Club Fashion Parade 2007

This year there were two main fashion events which I was hoping to cover here on my website, the EKKA Coffee Club parades and the Mercedes Benz fashion festival.
Unfortunately I was not permitted a media pass to either events as this site isn’t classified by PR or marketing companies as a “bona-fide” media outlet. It amazes me the ignorance of so called “marketing” companies to deny the channel of independent internet publications. Is there not a market for selling the EKKA or Fashion online?
There is a misconception that internet websites/blogs are not an important enough channel to consider them individually to allow to document the event. I’ve documented a fair wack of fashion events and the EKKA previously which is still getting a lot traffic. Most notable was my documentation of the NRA Fashion award finals last year, QUT graduate parades, MSIT graduate parades, plus several other key events in Brisbane. Not only did I document them, but i’ve generated a lot of traffic for those event websites. Try searching for the following keywords in google typically I rank in the top 5.
“nra fashion parade”
“qut fashion parade”
“msit fashion parade”
Most fashion labels I have documented have also benefit from my internet marketing skills, where in some instances my article post about their label ranks higher than their company site for their label name search term.
Here are some traffic stats:
- During the month of July, I had a total 49,707 unique visitors to christianbowman.com.
- More than 17,397 of those visitors landed on my site searching for EKKA or Fashion related content.
- July was a fairly uneventful month in terms of online fashion and EKKA traffic. If I was to use the percentages from the EKKA and fashion season last year where that traffic was at 65%, then I could forecast that during the same season this year I would reach attract over 32,000 unique visitors.
Also note that whilst July was a high traffic month, it isn’t out of the ordinary, i’ve had steady growth over the year, during June this site attracted 43,087 unique visitors.
So my point is, how can anyone in the fashion industry not have me document them when traffic and leads are abundant on this site. I even have a large subscriber base on this site, I know the names of the people who look at my site, I value their support for the EKKA and Fashion events and so should the event organisers!
Anyways, even though I’m a bit disappointed in being restricted in documenting key events in Brisbane, I am still keen supporter of the EKKA and the EKKA fashion parades.
I would hate to see them disappear in the future as organisers refuse to do something different in marketing the event.
Here are the details – ONE DAY TO GO!
