Griffith Gladiators 13.16.94 Def. Yeronga Devils 4.3.27

Probably our best performance this year with a convincing win against Yeronga. Ellery and I played on the back flanks along side team superstar “Coops” and between the 3 of us we repelled a lot of their attacks throughout the game.

Here is a transcript from the post match press conference with Christian Bowman about the game:

Q: There was a lot of speculation about the Bowman brothers playing in the same team but it came to a realisation tonight, what are you thoughts on that?

A: Due to our 6 year age difference we haven’t had too much opportunity to play footy together. It was a great to see it happen tonight, my mum and my two sisters were there to watch which made it even better. To come out with a win was just great.

Q: Do you like beer?
A: Yes.

Q: You’re mum was here taking some pictures of the game and of the celebrity coach, are they on the internet at for us to see?

A: Yes, they are here. There is a great black and white portrait of the Gladiator coach in there too.

Q: You played in the backline today, you’ve played both in the forwards and in the centre in previous games, how did you go in the backs?

A: Well obviously you haven’t seen the stats, lets just say they don’t call me the butcher for nothing - I carved up!
