At approximately 12:35am, local residents surrounding Hale Street, Inner City Bypass near Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, awoke to sounds of loud screaming. In what appears to be a single car accident, one local resident said “I heard there was a triple-0 call reporting a car crashing into the cement barrier”.

The imported green Nissan Sylvia was attended by emergency services and tow trucks, with major front and rear damage at the musgrave road exit. Up to 4 passing cars stopped to help and progressively left as ambulance vehicles left and fire rescue officers started to clear the road of debris.

There were no signs that the driver or the unknown number of passengers were seriously injured, nor that any other vehicles were involved. Surrounding barriers and light poles did not appear to be damaged.

  1. Just thought I’d let you know that after all your whining about import cars you still can’t spell the car right, it’s a Nissan Silvia with an I not Sylvia. Just thought i’d let you know to get a clue. Thanks. Btw ur article blows there WAS damage to the wooden wall considering there was a hole in it. (unless some dero came and kicked in the wall directly where the car made contact). Ah well nice try but you should go back to journo school to get all the facts. Nice work chump.

  2. Thanks “The Guy” for the great comments. Yes there is damage to the wood, but I don’t have any before or after shots so wasn’t going to speculate.
